The Brazil Study Group (BSG), funded by the Tinker Foundation, was charged in 2005 to create informed discussion around Brazilian prospects for reform and economic growth, institutional consolidation, and Brazil's role in the expanding global economy. In a joint program with Columbia University's Center for Brazilian Studies, BSG hosts political and economic analysts, academics, business leaders, and major political figures.

Funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, the Americas Society and Council of the Americas (AS/COA) Hispanic Integration Initiative engages U.S. and international business communities and mobilizes a new generation of business leaders in the integration of recent Latin American immigrants.



The Rule of Law Working Group brings together leaders across a variety of sectors to develop an agenda for improving the rule of law in the Americas.

The Council of the Americas launched the Trade Advisory Group (TAG) in 2004, consisting of the leading experts on trade policy. It provides guidance to the Council on trade and investment related issues, and takes part in exclusive dialogues with relevant U.S. Government and Latin American officials.
