In this festive presentation, David Unger, author of the critically acclaimed Life in the Damn Tropics, will be joined by translators Andrea Montejo and Alexis Romay. Walter Krochmal, an actor and translator, will perform a dramatic reading of “Shabbat Shalom,” accompanied by guitarist Gerard Edery. Raúl Figueroa, publisher of F & G Editores, will introduce. Ni chicha ni limonada (Neither Caterpillar Nor Butterfly) compiles a selection of coming-of-age and other stories inspired by the author’s childhood in Guatemala and the United States. The collection, which includes translations by the above individuals as well as by Argentine author Mempo Giardinelli, has been praised in Three Percent and other publications.

This book presentation will be in English and Spanish.
