For the past three years, the dynamic International Contemporary Ensemble has been working on Tres Generaciones, a unique project that brings together the work of three generations of extraordinary living Mexican composers.

This festival, which will be launched at Americas Society on May 2nd, will feature music by nine established, and emerging composers living in Mexico and the U.S. in concerts, lectures, and public talks throughout New York City. Composers include Julio Estrada (DF) and Víctor Adán.

International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE):
  • Cory Smythe and Jacob Greenberg, piano
  • Tony Arnold, soprano
  • David Schotzko, percussion
Program:
  • Julio Estrada: Memorias Para Teclado (1917), Excerpt from the opera Doloritas, yuunohui’wah’tlapoa, and a new work for percussion, title TBA.
  • Víctor Adán: Solum (mvltiplexor I).
