Book Presentation (In English): Achy Obejas, an acclaimed Cuban-American fiction writer and journalist, will discuss her latest anthology (part of Akashic Books’ Noir series), which boasts brand-new stories by current and former residents of Havana—some internationally known, others new voices—whose protagonists solve crimes of violence, loveless sex, greed, self-preservation and mass hysteria. Obejas will be joined by authors Mabel Cuesta and Moisés Asís. Antonia Wright, daughter of author Carolina García-Aguilera, will also read. Question-and-answer period and reception to follow.
