About AS/COA and Immigration/Integration:
Americas Society and Council of the Americas’ work on immigration and integration promotes dialogue and information sharing among the private sector, public sector, and community groups to advance Latino integration, with a focus on the immigrant population, and raises awareness of their socioeconomic contributions. The objective is to support the further integration of immigrant workers into businesses and local communities while facilitating a more mobilized and visible business sector on issues of immigrant integration in order to change perceptions at the local and national levels. In January 2010, with support from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, AS/COA launched its Hispanic Integration Hub (www.hispanicintegration.org), an online destination to present and promote private-sector experiences of effective integration efforts.
